What Is GDPR and How Does Nembol Protect Your Data?
GDPR is the EU’s data protection law, and Nembol applies its standards to every user — not only those in Europe. Note: This isn’t a legal document — just a plain explanation. For the legal details, see our Privacy Policy.
What Is GDPR?
GDPR is the EU’s data protection law. It gives people in the EU, UK, and Switzerland real rights over their personal data — to know what’s collected, access it, correct it, or have it deleted.
Does GDPR Apply If I’m Not in Europe?
Say what you will about EU regulations — but when it comes to data protection, they take it more seriously than almost anywhere else in the world. Whether you’re in the US, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, or anywhere else, that standard is worth having applied to your data too.
And if you sell to buyers in Europe or the UK, GDPR protects their data too — wherever you happen to be based.
How Does Nembol Protect My Data?
We apply European-standard data protection to every user, everywhere — not just where the law requires it. One standard, for everyone.
In practice, that means:
- A Privacy Policy that says what we collect, why, and on what legal basis.
- Defined retention periods for every category of data, so nothing is kept longer than it needs to be.
- A Data Processing Agreement covering the buyer and order data we handle on your behalf, including rules for our sub-processors.
- Appointed EU and UK representatives (Euverify), so European and UK users have a local point of contact.
- A full Record of Processing Activities, documenting how personal data moves through our systems.
- Vetted safeguards for every international data transfer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We’re also self-certifying under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
What Are My Rights?
If you’re in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or send you a copy of your personal data, and to object to or limit how we use it. Email hello@nembol.co.uk, or contact our EU or UK representative — details are in our Privacy Policy.
Still Have Questions?
