    Add Amazon products to OnBuy

Adding products from Amazon to OnBuy (or viceversa) follows specific rules on both platforms:

    • Products must already exist in the Amazon Catalog before they can be listed, as each item is reviewed and assigned to a category by Amazon
    • On OnBuy, listings require valid GTINs (EAN, UPC or ISBN) and complete product data for publication
    • Category mapping is required to ensure products are correctly placed on OnBuy.

Note: at the moment, only the OnBuy UK marketplace is supported.

When selling on both OnBuy and Amazon, stock levels are continuously aligned across channels.

        Multichannel challenges

Selling on multiple channels has many strategic advantages, however, increasing the number of channels always implies an increase of complexity.

        Without multichannel integration

        • Listing creation: products must be manually recreated on both OnBuy and Amazon.
        • Stock adjustment: stock updates need to be adjusted separately, increasing the risk of inconsistencies.
        • Price differentiation: fees and margins differ per channel, requiring constant manual recalibration.
        • Content management: product data must be aligned across platforms, often leading to duplication or drift in content.
